Head of Finance

Provide oversight on all activities of Finance Department, including financial planning and analysis, finance operations, global compliance, and controllership Responsibilities Control revenue bleeding thru pricing guidelines and revenue leakage controls Manage FTE thru process optimizations and improvements Liaise with different service providers to deliver savings in forex spread, transaction costs, and float Maintain healthy level of working capital, and generate more free cash flow for merchandise procurement Oversee contract commercials to minimize exposure of the organization to penalties and undue costs Reduce receivable turnover period thru quick response to problematic accounts, optimization of current collection protocols, and maintenance of good client relationship Maintain low level of inventory turnover period thru consistent support/monitoring of lent goods sales contribution, and review of all new lent goods supplier Increase payable deferral period thru oversight and finance/compliance support on contracts with Buyback partners Attend to all global compliance requirements of the organization Liaise with the service providers in Hong Kong, Japan, and EU countries to ensure compliance on jurisdictions of operations Ensure high level performance of the team, specially direct reports, which are the Finance Supervisor, and Controller Ensure alignment of vision-mission of the Group and the department to the team, ensuring harmony and better morale Qualifications Possesses a degree in Accountancy, Financial Management or similar undergraduate studies At least 5 years of combined working experience in finance operations, controllership accounting and compliance, and/or assurance/audit At least 2 year experience in handling and coaching direct reports Professional certification (CPA, CMA) a plus, but not required Should have relevant experience in projects which assess commercial viability of campaigns, or new products Experience handling BI tool or data mining techniques Is an advantage Should have solid understanding on tax principles and VAT compliance rules (e.g. input-output mechanism) Should have relevant experience in collections and problematic accounts management Able to effectively communicate in English Competencies Employee builds trust & respect amongst work group Participates the creation of team goals to align with organizational targets Contributes to team achievements by fulfilling one’s area of responsibility Constantly seeking to improve results and sets stretch goals to test one’s ability Conduct a simple pros and cons analysis Follow by an immediate action to ensure that work is completed on time Provide updates of the action taken and highlights issues if any that resulted from the action Able to present ideas (verbally & written) in a well structured manner What we offer Budget: Up to 150k / month - to be discussed according to experience Start up culture where decisions are taken with speed for implementation, empowered individuals looking for exponential growth in a performance culture driven environment where impact of results promote the candidate development in the organisation. Finance Manager
